Colombia El Diviso (Geisha)

Peñas Blancas is not a classic farm in the narrow sense, but a coffee processing center in Acevedo, in Colombia’s Huila region. It was created as a shared space where smaller producers can access modern coffee processing infrastructure and achieve the more stable quality expected by the specialty coffee market.

Behind the center are Nestor Lasso and Jhoan Vergara. Nestor Lasso is a young producer from Huila who focuses on experimental processing, fermentation and more precise quality control. His work with modern methods has helped Peñas Blancas build a reputation as a place focused on clarity, consistency and high-quality micro-lots.

Jhoan Vergara brings experience in farm management and post-harvest processes, meaning everything that happens to coffee after harvest. His work focuses on supporting local farmers, fairer trade relationships, producer education and sharing knowledge around processing and quality control.
