Finca Las Flores was born in 1990 when Edilberto Vergara and Nubia Ayure planted their first coffee trees in Acevedo, Huila. With only 2 hectares, they started a family project that has evolved towards excellence in specialty coffee. In 2006, Nubia reached 16th place in the Cup of Excellence, which marked a turning point.
One of her sons, Jhoan Vergara, has led the transformation of the farm with innovation and technique. After training in advanced agricultural practices, he introduced varieties such as Java, Maracaturra, Tabi or Bourbon Sidra, and perfected processes with the help of his brothers, focusing on controlled fermentations and precision drying. In 2019, his Pink Bourbon won the Master of Coffee competition, positioning the estate at an international level.
Today, Finca Las Flores stands out for its commitment to sustainability, the use of biochar and the transfer of knowledge to new generations.
