GUATEMALA - EL SOCORRO (PACAMARA)

El Socorro is a 700 hectare property, of which only 125 hectares are dedicated to coffee. The rest is natural forest that the team have decided to preserve. Diego produces many coffees including pacamara, geisha, bourbon and more. Most of which are shade-grown with other crops such as avocados to create a healthy environment for the coffee trees. 
The pacamara varietal was bred in El Salvador in the 1950s. It is a hybrid between the pacas and maragogipe varietals. Since then, pacamara has spread to coffee producers all over Central and South America but it continues to be the pride of El Salvador. This particular coffee is the Guatemalan team at El Socorro’s expression of the varietal.
