NICARAGUA - BRIDAZUL

Bridazul is the name of a washing station in Nicaragua that Claudia Lovo and Tim Willems started in 2018. At the station, they help producers switch their production from commercial coffee to specialty coffee. For the producers, this means they can export their own coffee instead of selling their coffee berries to exporters or other intermediaries. Bridazul provides advice and guidance on how to fertilize the coffee, prune the bushes, and harvest the berries to increase quality. They also take over the entire post-harvest process for producers who wish to do so.
