Peru Finca Los Cedros

Hilton Obne Bruno Flores owns the 0.5-hectare farm Finca Los Cerdos. Coffee from the farm is selectively harvested, washed, and dried in solar dryers. To improve the farm's operations, Hilton used technical guidance to create a layout of the farm using contour lines. This allows him to use some mechanized management practices to assist him through planting and harvesting. He also practices effective fertilization using compost produced on the farm. Brush cutters are used for weeding to prevent soil erosion. The community of coffee producers he is a part of is committed to sustainable practices.
