The farm

The land around Acacia Hills borders the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to a rich diversity of wildlife, including elephants, buffalo and many other species. The presence of these animals, while impressive, presented a challenge for Leon and his team, who had to work hard to protect their crops from wildlife damage.

Leon and his colleagues understood that access to education and clean water were fundamental needs for the community working on the farm. While they recognized the importance of both, they prioritized water infrastructure because of the challenges people faced in obtaining clean water, some having to travel long distances to get it.

By focusing his efforts on sustainability and quality in coffee production, Leon not only contributed to improving the local economy but also inspired positive social change in the region.
